GENERAL SESSION SPEAKERS
Alison served as team captain of the first American women’s Everest expedition, climbed the Seven Summits and skied to the North and South Poles. A history-making adventurer who also spent time in the business world, she has survived sub-zero temperatures, hurricane-force winds and sudden avalanches – and that was while climbing the corporate ladder! Alison asserts that the principles that apply to the world of extreme adventure also apply to demanding business environments. A former part-time faculty member at West Point, Alison understands what it takes to lead teams through challenging situations – and the ability to climb on!
A founder, managing principal and chief investment officer at AQR Capital Management, Cliff is an active researcher and has authored articles on a variety of financial topics for many publications, including The Journal of Portfolio Management, Financial Analysts Journal and The Journal of Finance. He has received five Bernstein Fabozzi/Jacobs Levy Awards from The Journal of Portfolio Management. Financial Analysts Journal has twice awarded him the Graham and Dodd Award for the year’s best paper, as well as a Graham and Dodd Excellence Award, the award for the best perspectives piece, and the Graham and Dodd Readers’ Choice Award.
Dave Goetsch is an executive producer on “The Big Bang Theory” and has been with the show since its first season. He previously worked on “3rd Rock from the Sun,” for which he started as a staff writer and rose to executive producer. He has written and produced numerous pilots for CBS, ABC, FOX and Showtime. In addition to his day job in TV, Dave teaches a new media writing and production class at University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. A graduate of Yale University, he holds U.S. Patent No. 6998984 and once tried to start a pharmaceutical chocolate company.
